However, I just came back from Best Buy (I wanted to pick up the new Citizen Cope before realizing that I might have one coming in the mail real soon). Anyway, Food & Liquor was noticeably missing from the shelf. I asked one of the music guys down there and he said it was sold out.
Could it be that Atlantic didn’t ship enough copies since they probably didn’t expect F & L to sell out?
That’s another factor to consider.

Congrats to Lupe on the album. I copped it and it was fire. It’s about time someone came to resurrect hip-hop. I am in no way implying that he can do it by himself but it’s a good start. I have seen Lupe’s album sell out In several places. Its possible that If His first shipment was’nt that big say 100,000, 120,00o thousand or so. If he sold 85,000 That a big percentage. Food over liquor

Maybe it’s just me, but when your album sells out and you still didn’t reach the 100,000 mark, that’s an indication that the first shipment wasn’t that major. Atlantic lost on this one. I still find thousands of copies of T.I.’s album everywhere.
