^Real talk.

Hey SB, I tried to hit you up to see if you wanted to join us at D & B yesterday. My boy just got back from England so we all went out and chilled there for a minute.

@Illmatic...diamonds come from diff countries in Africa, Russell's focus albeit is in Botswana and South Africa. Agreed, those diamonds are not 'conflict' diamonds in the truest sense but it makes them no less 'blood diamonds' if workers die or experience untold suffering in order to meet a quota for their bosses - DeBeers an' 'nem.

My gripe is the African ppl are NOT benefitting as they should from their own resources. Sorry, but in Houston where oil is one of the most important resources we have here, there are TONS of jobs and opportunities folks can take advantage of. Not so in African countries with diamonds. Are there laws and are things better than they were before yes but they can be MUCH better considering most of those workers are Black Africans, natives who actually OWNed that land before the Dutch and British invaders (who now ironically control everything) took it all away from them.

The original landowners ought to have some say, the workers ought to be able to bargain their wages, work conditions etc.
