I am checking the stats: T-Pain is #1 at Urban and X-over radio and is steaming up the pop chart (#5 on the Hot 100). Unless I’m misreading U here and U meant he’s already crushing her?

Banner is cool, has a bit of an early 90s west coast feel.

Let’s just say I’m a poetic blogger. Unlike BET, I trust that my audience is a bunch of intelligent folks.

checked the movie preview..looks aight
but why are there always these movies about black people and wanting to be the next big rapper/singer/whatever..
how about we get out of this “box” of rapping and basketball and expand our horizons. Im not saying movie-wise but just in general. There is alot out there and we shouldn’t just limit ourselves. Not only for our own sake but more importantly the kids who look up to us
Just my 2cents

Rizoh Says:
I was discussing this with a friend the other day. It seems our young people in general are fascinated with all the glitz and glamor that’s being pushed onto them from different avenues. These days, kids just wanna be rappers, basketballers, or actors.

I feel you @ Anonymous…however I think the movie wasn’t necessarily geared towards making kids rappers, musicians and singers for 20349309121o09th time, but moreso inspiring them to achieve in life, using it as a means to heal and bring unity and love.
For me that’s what I want my hip hop to do. I’ve never thought that by listening to whomever I listened to I had to grow up and become like them, songs I listened to either motivated me to be a better individual or just be aware of certain things.

I give it to you, your originality has never been in doubt. But you do remind me of K-Os…well, without the musical schizophrenia.

im anonymous from above..i feel what your saying esbee but for every one of you who just takes it for its entertainment value, there are thousands of kids who see this as the only way.. im just saying people in higher positions should show a wide spectrum rather than just one thing
|
| 22. |
Rizoh Says:
kn, I agree. The people in higher position should make rappers put down the mic and become doctors and engineers to show kids that there’s another route.
