Fivefold Says: May 23rd, 2007 at 2:07 am What most people fail to (actually don’t want to) realize is that 50 Cent is a thorough hip-hop fan (and KRS in particular). He could drop you ALL of KRS’ rhymes from the BDP days, effortlessly. But that doesn’t mean he has to rap like the Teacha. He found his lane and he’s excelling and that’s why he has the respect of legends like KRS — which doesn’t preclude him any criticisms, that’s part of life. (Same could be said for the legends.) Hip-Hop is not as fractured as people would have you believe. It’s not just covered right. Thank God for cats like Rizoh who are part of the solution. We’ll get there. |

J To The A.A.P. Says: May 23rd, 2007 at 9:50 am “before corporate America wipes hip-hop off the face of the earth.” They’ll just incorporate it into corparate America until it’s something you won’t recognize anymore. *Sigh* Is 24 too early to feel old? |
