yaboy, it was phenomenal for diff reasons:

1. Jay hasn’t soundes so good in a minute..on here he sounds like he’s actually serious

2. His flow is back…doesn’t do that whisper mush-slush that’s turned every one off in recent memory

3. It’s a subliminal diss that’s going at someone, making sense and keeping it real.

4. Phenomenal verses aren’t always about metas and punches. A lot of rappers who claim they use metas don’t really use those they’re just punchline cats impressing y’all.

and also did I forget to mention the internal rhyme schemes and bar construction all within the verse? Jay just hasn’t sounded as good in recent memory…its like with this verse he’s decided to turn on the light switch.
