Listening to the Kanye album was like trying to listen to a Busta album all the way through. It’s just annoying and it doesn’t help that the album kinda sucks. No where near as well rounded as Late Registrations was. Maybe he should’ve brought back Jon Brion.
I don’t own a 50 Cent album. I just know he doesn’t like too many people. He puts other artists on blast and relentlessly boasts about past record sales. He’s not as smart as he thinks, obviously. I mean, he says he got writer’s block and had to go back to his grandma-ma’s basement to write the new album. I can’t say that his whole album’s wack cause I haven’t listened to all of it. But if his first few singles are any indication of how “Curtis” plays out, then what the fuck did you do in grandma’s basement? Lift weights and listen to your last two albums over and over?
He doesn’t know any better. He can’t be original or creative, says Nas’ career is dead cause he’s “too intelligent” and no one’s buying intelligent music. Then he drops an ignorant album and sells ~300,000 copies to Kayne’s ~400,000. He can stir up the teens who buy his albums enough until they forget about him and get back to playing video games.
