Wordsmith's concept is just a play-off of many songs that share the same ideas of reminiscing over hip hop. Come on, Common did it in 94'. Different approach, but same concept.

"I like Kanye’s album and it definetly got more play, but technically 50 cent album is closer to traditional hiphop."

That's certainly true, but by no means does that say anything about the quality. I'd have to disagree with the teacher as well, I'd pick Graduation over Curtis any day.

I think one of the worst things about hip-hop now is the jacking of flows...

How many people have I heard using Lil Wayne's flow?!?!?! (of all people's flows to use, Wayne?!?!?)

No EPMD? I was just thinking that as I was watching the whole New Jack Swing/Missy Elliot disgrace.

They should have inducted the Native Tongue as a collective if you ask me. Had it not been for the JB's and De La...The Native Tongue influence is too far reaching to even try to discuss in this forum.

Should be even expect VH1 to honor the right Hip-Hop artists? I'm not mad. I haven't seen ATCQ performance in so long that I didn't even give a shit towards the end.
