Nas sounds the same today as he did 14 years ago. Crazy. Illmatic? That album was kinda nice.

*Listens to Illmatic*

I swear every time I listen to this album a new verse catches my attention. It’s like the first time I heard it all over again. Never gets old.

I remember seeing this on Video Music Box in ‘94. It was kinda like a short making of Illmatic. BTW heres Jay-Z’s Making Of Reasonable Doubt documentary from VH1

Illmatic is the best hip hop album of all time. That album is incredible.

It is funny how people say every album is a classics nowadays but this is a true classic and this is what a classic should sound like.

fuckin dope ass video, thanx for postin it. it would be nice if more artists today would watch this shit and learn somethin. the mainstreams a joke now. nas is at legendary status in my opinion. amazing, talented mc

12. Quillis Says:

You see the thing is this: It took Jay Z till the blueprint/black album to sound as polished as he does now whereas the biggies, pacs, nases and eminems always sounded polished. Nas is the goat. Name a rapper hes not influenced? He influenced Jay cos Jay always sampled and named Nas in his songs. he influenced pac with his gun song produced by prem

13. T2 Says:

Quillis wtf are you talking about Nas had wack albums like Nastradamous and I Am wasn’t great either. You won’t find a worser album than Encore that album was trash. Pac never had good albums either All Eyes on Me was the stand out though but Biggie is a different story both Readie To Die & Life After Death were classics.

Jay-Z had his faults aswell but he was more consistant than Nas.
