I honestly think that there is a place for hip hop in the R&R HOF. Hip hop is as much rock and roll as over 50% of the Hall's members... In the past five years The Ronettes, Miles Davis, Buddy Guy, The O'Jays and Isaac Hayes (just to name a few) were all inducted and I'm not sure that I'd call a single one of them traditional rock and roll acts. With that - I think that what is and has been typically considered eligible for nomination has been anything from the blues on...so I think the term Rock and Roll HOF is a bit misleading when in fact it has been proven to be the Popular Music Hall of Fame.
