Uncommon Love

Some shady shutterbug captured Common and his tennis champ girlfriend Serena Williams leaving a London hotel last night. They look like they’ve had a “rough” night.

Concert Report: Ghost Brings Rehab to Houston

ghost-onstage.jpg

I learned two things at last night’s Ghostface concert in Houston:

1) Wu-Tang’s first Houston concert ended with the clan getting chased out the building
2) Ghostface live > Ghostface on wax

Ghostface blessed Houston with his gritty and witty brand of hip-hop, while promoting his upcoming Big Doe Rehab LP (out Dec. 4). Midway into the show, he paused for a moment and took us on a journey down memory lane. The year is 1992 and the Wu is performing “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthin’ to F*ck Wit” at a tiny club in H-Town. Jim Jones and the Chipmunks Revealed

jim-jones-and-the-chipmunks.jpg

Since some of us didn’t get it, let me state clearly that the Jim Jones’ Chipmunk album does not exist. I made that up in the vein of that popular New York Times story on American Gangster. Shout out to my blog fam for joining in on the fun, and to defsounds.com for supplying the above artwork.

It was good while it lasted. Now, let’s dead this story before Jimmy hears about it and decides to make an actual chipmunk album.

You know, I wouldn’t put it past him.

Beanie Sigel ft. Scarface – “Rain”

beanie-sigel.jpg

One of the highlights from Beanie’s solid new album, The Solution, due out December 11.

Yet another Mac and Brad collabo. Show of hands: Who’s ready for a full-length from these two, preferably with production from Kanyeezy, DJ Toomp, and Mike Dean?
