Iowa: Obama 38, Clinton 29

clinton_obama.jpg

The hip-hop candidate came out tops in last night’s hotly contested Iowa caucus:

With all Democratic precincts reporting, Obama had the support of 38 percent of voters, compared to 30 percent for John Edwards and 29 percent for Hillary Clinton…

Among Democrats, Obama took 57 percent of the under-30 vote, according to CNN’s analysis of entrance polls. Speaking to supporters, Obama called the night a “defining moment in history.” [ Full Story: CNN ]

Mike Huckabee, the only decent GOP candidate, clinched the Republican side of the Iowa caucuses with 34% of voters, compared to 25% for Romney who finished 2nd.

Senators Dodd and Biden have dropped out of the race, so you can stop confusing them with each other.

If you haven’t already donated to Barack Obama’s campaign, it’s not too late to do so.

What makes Obama the Hip-Hop candidate?

Because I said so.

6. Episode Says:

No actually, because he’s black which automatically constitutes him as hip-hop.

Actually, you can be non-black and still be hip-hop.

I call him the hip-hop candidate because of his style and swag. He has the gift of gab (like the great MCs); He’s trying to defy the odds stacked against him (people said hip-hop couldn’t stand a chance at first), and he has the support of many in the hip-hop community.

Plus, he won this poll: http://rap.about.com/gi/pages/poll.htm?linkback=http://rap.about.com/

It’s bugg’d out when us black folk can’t stand behind an obviously decent human being, but then we’ll uplift dumb shits that plague our chances of progress in the global stage, we gotta wake the fuck up.

Huckabee is GWB Part 2. If he wins, I’m moving.

Yeah Riz, you lost me for a second with that “Mike Huckabee, the only decent GOP candidate” stuff. If Huckabee had what he really wanted, anyone who wasn’t utterly devout, god fearing, straight, white, and land-owning put on a reservation. Dude just isn’t what we should be about.

Don’t get me wrong, there are 4 other candidates that I would support before ever giving an iorta of support to Huckabug. I was just pointing out that he’s the only decent guy with a reasonable chance of winning on the GOP side. Of course, he’s an extremist right-wing candidate, but he’s the only Republican that possesses human attributes. The rest think they’re gods or something (minus Paul).

I like Obama personally, but Edwards is the only progressive choice, its a pity polls arent looking good for him. Hope and bipartisanship wont give hope to the 15-20 million that would still be uninsured if Obama’s health care plan passes; or the money we will waste on “clean oil” or nuclear power.

Edwards or 3rd party for me I think.
