I think some of these dudes, like Talib, who was previously pretty vocal about not voting, will go back to not voting.

Make no mistakes. I declared my support as far back as February 2007 and I haven’t lost my confidence in him. I’m just saying, all this rave seems like overkill and I wonder how folks will react if he doesn’t go through all the way.

You and I know that there’s no way he could possibly deliver on all those promises. The Republicans are going to fight every policy agenda. Still, he has a lot to offer — in terms of doing what’s necessary to remedy our broken foreign policy and, if he surrounds himself with good leadership, we could see some relief in healthcare reform as well. I’m hopeful.

Yeah, I see what you mean. Barack’ll have a hard time ahead of him, no doubt about that. But if there’s one candidate who’ll be able to restore some of the US reputation (which Bush practically obliterated) overseas I believe it’s Obama.
