Who gives a shit? Use whatever to make a hit. That stuttering fuck from the video is dissing someone for using sounds from a program that he was using for sounds! Wonder if ‘Jeff’ could construct a sentence fluently from some sounds I sent him.

salvador darlo Says:
Oh yeah – and what is ‘Poor Usher’ about? Think he or any of his fans gives a flying fuck?

dubbnasty Says:
who fucking cares, rest assure when were all in this club and the girls go crazy, we wont give a fuck where the sounds came from.

ian Says:
Rizoh, Rhianna’s “Umbrella” was made with GarageBand too so seriously, who cares or what’s your point?
|

Austin Walker Says:
The point is that Usher probably paid Polow a ton for this beat, that he made in 5 minutes using stock garage band sounds.
I want more from my producers.

“We used to kick up dust, now we’re settling”
Yeah, let’s keep lowering the bar. Haha!
|

ian Says:
What bar? The song is the biggest record since “Umbrella” – it’s a smash. If you like the song what do you care where the sounds in it came from? From my pov Polow is actually a friggin’ genius for making a hit record using stock sounds like that. Its a testament to him that he was the first to see the vision and make it happen.

Rizoh Says:
The stock files sound so similar to the final product, so where’s the creative genius in that? Let’s be real for a moment. If this was some no-name producer, would you call him a friggin’ genius?
|
| 13. |
ian Says:
Its genius that he made a smash hit from stock sounds, yes. Or conversely, if it was that easy, someone else would have done it ages ago. But they didn’t, he did. So all props due. I bet some of your favorite reords from cats like Just Blaze, Premo, Pete Rock and Dilla are straight loops off of records. Loops off of records or from production software sound packs: what’s the difference? Stop hatin’, Rizoh. And to answer your question, yes I would have called any no-namer who would have done this beat a genius too. I’m so far from a Polow groupie, it’s silly.
