And the MVP Award Goes to…

Kobe Bryant (1,105 points) has just snatched up the Maurice Podoloff Trophy for the first time in his 12-year career. Chris Paul (889 points) did his thing this year, but Kobe truly deserved this one. He displayed his durability all season long. Now while I agree with the MVP choice, I respectfully disagree on a bunch of the other awards. If I had a say, here’s how my votes would play out:

Most Improved Player: Hedo Turkoglu (Magic)
Sixth Man Award: Manu Ginobili (Spurs)
Defensive Player of the Year: Shane Battier (Rockets)
Coach of the Year: Byron Scott (Hornets)
Most Valuable Player: Kobe Bryant (Lakers)
Rookie of the Year: Al Horford (Hawks)
Trade of the Year: Gasol to Lakers
You’re Cool But Your Free Throw Sucks Award: Luis Scola

Obama/Bryant ‘08

What it do, what it do? ;-D

2. Fivefold Says:

Figured you’d be biased and give the defensive player of the year trophy to a Rocket!

3. Mike G. Says:

It should be CP3.

4. Walter Says:

I dunno about Turkoglu getting most improved, he was pretty dope when he was with the Kings, just overshadowed by Stojakovic and the fact that he was a bench player instead of a starter. That being said, as a starter, he was finally able to have a breakthrough year.

about damn time my boy kobe gets his trophy for MVP. could have easily been his 2nd or even 3rd.
and lol i do sense the biased that “Fivefold” spotted, but i retort it cus battier really has lock down D. i thought he should have got it also but finishing 3rd was a surprise. i hate to see when he locks down kobe cus i can do that.
p.s im also feelin that “Trade of the year” thing, but i think it was the trade of the century so far sepecially when ALL the lakers gave up was kwame [no eplination] and a rookie. look at the trade tallent wise. [wow i could go on and one about this]

my bad…. i meant to say that “HE can do that”

schitt if i could i’d be in the NBA right now. lol

7. ant Says:

man this is gay man paul should have got this one. i mean if you ask me kobe is in the same boat with KG……got nothing but talent in front of him. so yea he got all those points but paul is playing with a group of ppl that he is making better.

8. Rizoh Says:

Shane really was the top defensive player of the year. It’s not even worth arguing, imo.
