Nappy Roots – “Good Day”

Nappy Roots – “Good Day”

As I watch rap crews go into extinction, it’s always with some anxiety that I survey new music from old groups. We haven’t heard from Nappy Roots in a while, and I must say “Good Day” is a solid re-introduction to the Kentucky boys. This appears on their comeback album, The Humdinger, out June 17th.

this was on their “internet only” album, Innerstate Music…one of the better tracks on there, which was about 1/2 & 1/2.

i will always have a special place in my heart for them haha

Did they lose a group member? I admit when they first came out I thought they were wack…at the time I was on an anti-southern rave anyway…needless to say they got swept under the rug after the first outing. I hope they can go hard on mixtapes and everything out..just to at least regain some buzz.

No, that pic doesn’t show all the members.

They’ve always managed to be “different” while retaining most of the southern elements.

Actually they did lost a member. R. Prophet left to pursue solo interests, check thier MySpace, new images, songs, interviews and other stuff. Prophet is missing.
