Million DJ March Set for Washington, D.C.
DJs all over the U.S. are getting ready to take over Washington D.C. by organizing the first annual Million DJ March. I received a press release saying that Special Parks Services and Parks Rangers have even extended the permits to march to include evening activities, thus allowing the organizers to compress the march into a 2-day event (August 29th – 30th).
I’m not completely sure what DJs are marching for, but here’s the event’s organizer A. Shaw (pictured above) to the rescue:
“We have no opinions that would hamper our relationships with labels or artists. We simply feel that the DJ community needs to come together and unite, for the betterment of all.”
Also, here’s what DJ Chuck T (the guy who leaked Tha Carter III) had to say about the march,
“I personally feel that the DJ community is in desperate need of a facelift right now. The Million DJ March is an event that DJ’s from around the world should attend. The key to getting our voices heard is to unite and show solidarity.”
What’s next? A Million Blogger March?
