What would you do if you were called “nigger”…by a 3-year old?
I like the Complex Simplicity approach. She corrected the young lady, restrained her own emotional eruption, and then turned the incident into a blog conversation on racism. (Nas might learn a thing or two from her.)
That’s one way to handle it. What about you? How would you react if some 3-year old hurled a racial slur at you?

Mjlovesthekids Says: June 9th, 2008 at 12:02 pm Depends on the time & place. If I were at a someone’s house and their child happened to call me a nigger, I’d correct her and then consult the parent. If I were on the street and some kid called me a nigger, I’d either ignore it and keep it movin or snatch whatever the kid had, and run for my life so no one would be able to catch me. (Only kidding about that last part.) |
