Belve Says: July 30th, 2008 at 12:11 am @khal Not for the Rockets.. that is called.. We want to win – THIS YEAR – And we are willing to show you. I’m not a Rocket fan by any means (Knicks, do or continue to die) but you have to admire the swag of saying if Boston can put a team together in the off-season and it work why can’t we. |

Hip Hop Made Me Do It Says: July 30th, 2008 at 8:46 am On one hand, you have a premier defender and he can get you 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals a game. Plus he has already played for Rick Adelman and they didn’t have a problem with each other. However, he is what I call,”Queensbridge Crazy.” Basically, he has that tendency where he can go crazy in a New York minute (i.e. smack wifey, abuse dogs, bum rush a couple of fans, rap wack rhymes, say some gibberish anytime a camera is in his face, etc.). Also he may disrupt team chemistry. If Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady can stay healthy and there is consistent point guard play by “Skip to my Lou”, then it is quite possible that they can play for the Western Conference Championship or even for the NBA championship.. In the words of Kevin Garnett, “Anything is possible”; especially when a team has 3 very good players. On the real, if I was the GM, I wouldn’t have made the move. I would kept Donte Green, sign James Posey/Josh Childress, and traded for a point guard. |

Black ELement Says: July 31st, 2008 at 10:10 am Ok, this trade was high risk/high reward. If Artest can remain calm, and TMac and Yao play at least 65 games this year each then your looking at a potential top three team in the Western Confrence. Lets not fortget Artest is one of, if not THE best defensive player in the league and they also have Battier whose another lockdown guy. The Rockets have became a very efficent defensive team. Comparing them to my Celtics, is a bit premature if you ask me. ; ) |
