Houston Press Previews Z-Ro’s Crack

Friday, August 29th, 2008

Judging from the words of my boy Shea Serrano of the Houston Press, Z-Ro’s Crack just might be as intoxicating as the title suggests. Shea and several others were given a taste (excuse the pun) of the Crack last night at Dave & Buster’s.

Here’s his incredibly entertaining and incisive take on the Crack listening session.

Kanye’s Life Changing Meeting with the Obamas

Friday, August 29th, 2008

“Life changing” is how Kanye simply described his experience at last night’s Democratic convention. Proceed for pictures of Kanye with Michelle Obama and Joe Biden, as well as a few other Kodak moments from the convention.

Black ELement - Sex Ed (feat. T-Payne)

Black ELement describes this as a song he would “make for the kiddies if I was teaching Sex Ed.” It’s pretty funny, particularly the T-Payne cameo. Enjoy.

Video of Daddy Yankee Endorsing John McCain

Friday, August 29th, 2008

I know I’ve talked about Daddy Yankee’s endorsement of John McCain, but this fuckery is worth watching for the sheer hilarity of it.

If you’re sitting in front of your computer going “WTF? Daddy Yankee and John McCain?” you’re not alone. Fellow latino rapper Fat Joe has also expressed his disappointment with Daddy Yankee’s move, calling him a sell-out.

Says Joe: “I felt like I wanted to vomit when I seen that. The reason why I called him a sellout is because I feel he did that for a [publicity] look, rather than the issues that are affecting his people that look up to him. How could you want John McCain in office when George Bush and the Republicans already have half a million people losing their homes in foreclosure? … Either he did that for a look, or he’s just not educated on politics.”

This is by far the coolest clip I’ve seen all day: MC Hammer (yes, that MC Hammer) professing his love for web analytics and targeted marketing.

Chamillionare on the Campaign Trail, Says New Album Will Drop in December

Friday, August 29th, 2008

[Via: Chamillionaire TV]

This video was obviously recorded today, perhaps even hours ago. How do I know? Well, you can still see a clip of Sarah Palin giving her speech on CNN. Cham is basically rambling off on a bunch of topics, including Obama’s historic candidacy and Mixtape Messiah 4. He also hints at a new Mixtape Messiah installment scheduled for November, a month before the arrival of his 3rd album.

Murs - Murs Administration Trailer

Friday, August 29th, 2008

Man, it would be hilarious if Murs actually ran for president. He would be a historic candidate on so many levels: first rapper president, the first with dreadlocks, etc.

John McCain Picks Sarah Palin as V.P.

Friday, August 29th, 2008

It’s official, John McCain has picked Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, nicknamed America’s hottest governor, as his running mate. This shows you that McCain was serious about siphoning off women voters disaffected by Hillary Clinton’s loss in the Democratic primaries. I wonder how she’ll match up against Joe Biden who’s known to be a feisty debater. This should be an interesting election.
