Apparently, Madlib is Still Around

I know this may sound crazy, but ever since J Dilla died, Madlib has become my new Jay Dee. And Lord knows hip-hop needs a new Madlib album right about now. The beat god will answer our prayers on September 30th when his latest effort, WLIB AM: King of the Wigflip finally arrives. Guest features include: Talib Kweli, Murs, Guilty Simpson, Prince Po, Defari, Frank N’ Dank, MED, and the super-talented Georgia Anne Muldrow.

Peep the WLIB AM: King of the Wigflip cover art after the gap.

Madlib got some classics under his belt, one of my favorite producers. If this is as good Pete Rock’s BBE album (which I expect it is) I’m definitely gonna cop.

Wow Riz Madlib is your new Jay Dilla? Seriously?

I always thought ‘lib and Jay were apples and oranges..
