This collaboration between Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather and Ludacris reminds me of Mike Tyson’s role in Canibus’ “Second Round K.O.” 10 years ago. A young, promising MC named Canibus was embroiled in a bitter feud with an O.G. named LL Cool J. Bis needed to add some bite to his assault, so he invited Mike Tyson to hype him up on “Second Round K.O.” Mike, who was fresh off “The Bite Fight” with Evander Holyfield, egged Bis on as he proceeded to land an incendiary uppercut on LL.
This is the part where I’m supposed say, I knew Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson was a friend of mine. Floyd Mayweather, you’re no Mike Tyson.
Luda, please keep making ‘em like this. I am now officially looking forward to Theater of the Mind, which drops on November 25th.
10 years in the game and People Under The Stairs is still a force to reckon with. With Fun DMC (their 6th album) hitting stores Tuesday (Sept. 30), the L.A. duo unleashed their first video from the project, “The Wiz.” The video was shot entirely in Australia. It seeks to underscore the similarity between their laid-back attitude and the pace of life down under.

M.O.P. – “Monster”
While it may sound like someone decided to cut and paste old M.O.P. material from 1988, this is actually new music. Hate it or love it.
Bonus Cut:
Lil Fame (of M.O.P.) – “Security”
“I’ve been talking mad stuff about the election and blah blah blah and realized that I hadn’t registered to vote”
NYOil registers to vote, his 18-year old son in tow. And he did it with *gasp* regular shades on.
