Game’s ‘L.A.X.’ Bows at No.2 in Close SoundScan Race
The Game’s L.A.X entered the Billboard chart at #2, shifting over 238,382 copies. The Doctor’s Advocate moved more than that, 358,000 to be precise. His 2005 debut, The Documentary topped the chart with 587,000 units. The No.1 honor went to Slipknot’s All Hope Is Gone with 239,516 copies. If only Game had instructed his weed carriers and some family to go bum-rush music stores for copies of L.A.X. each, he would’ve owned the coveted top spot.
Congrats to JT for his impressive showing. More importantly, kudos to him for making an Album of the Year contender. Personally, I wanted less name-dropping and more gut-punching, but this works.
Here’s my boy John Matheessen’s L.A.X. review.
