While interviewing Soulja Boy for his Black Carpet show last week, Toure found out what a pathetic sambo Soulja Boy really is. Toure had asked the kiddie rapper about his most hated public figure. He couldn’t think of any public figures, but he sure had some well thought-out praise for the slave masters.

So, Toure called him out:

I asked him, What historical figure do you most hate? He was stumped. I said, “Others have said Hitler, bin Laden, the slave masters…” He said, “Oh wait! Hold up! Shout out to the slave masters! Without them we’d still be in Africa.”

My jaw, at this point, was on the ground.”We wouldn’t be here,” he continued, having no idea how far in it he’d stepped, “to get this ice and tattoos.”

Wow. Never mind that diamonds come from Africa. Never mind that there were many generations of pain in between leaving Africa and getting diamonds. Never mind that the long-term cataclysmic effects of subtracting about tens of millions of young, strong people from Africa over the course of a couple of centuries is a large part of the reason why Africa now appears so distasteful to you. Never mind all that, Soulja Boy. You put country first.

To his defense, Soulja Boy’s all around ignorance may not be his fault, because along with having no brains, an average jelly fish lacks the capacity to process any information that involves current events or knowledge of one’s history.

Halloween and hip-hop don’t always mix. But the rare occasion when they do always leads to a cataclysmic clash of epic beautiful proportions. Much of hip-hop is fiction anyway, so fabricated stories about ghosts and goblins shouldn’t be that hard to begin with.

One of my all time favorites has always been Geto Boys’ “Mind Playing Tricks on Me.” No, that’s not my H-Town bias speaking; that’s my knack for robbing kids of candy bias in action. Creepiest song I ever heard? “Dance with the Devil” by Immortal Technique. Seriously, how mentally fucked up do you have to be to go through with that song concept?

H-Town All-Stars (Chamillionaire, Bun B, Corey Mo, Paul Wall, Bun B) – Obama ‘08

When I first interviewed Bun B earlier in the year, he wasn’t completely sold on any of the presidential candidates. It’s funny how Obama can change people’s minds with charm and charisma. That said, it’s always fresh to see these fellas put ego aside like they did on “Won’t Let You Down” and team up for one cause. It’s moments like these that remind me of why Houston had that brief hip-hop dominance between 2004 and 2006. Unite and conquer is the name of the game, H-Town. Oh by the way, Chamillionaire and Corey Mo wrecked this one.

Peep the music video for “I’m So Paid”, Akon’s sizzling collaboration with Young Jeezy and Weezy. Akon’s new album, Freedom, lets loose on December 2nd.

Reggie Miller is 110% right. That’s a perfect example of guilty by reputation right there. I don’t think it should’ve been a technical foul, either. Unless the refs are blind, they can clearly see that Ron ran up to pull Yao away from the would-be melee. Nothing mavericky about that technical foul.

This should be Obama’s campaign theme song, but it wouldn’t fly because nobody wants a “black sheep” in the White House. Either way, it’s a banger.

This is pretty much Lil Wayne living out his kinky fantasy of kicking it with a lady cop. I promise, you’ll never look at female police officers the same way again after seeing this video.
