Amazing is allright.
Tell Everybody That You Know (with Wayne) is garbage
Streetlights is a whole new level, something like Journey or Tears For Fears is their best days. Ye suprised me with Streetlights. Even you, Rizoh, have to like Streetlights!

Rizoh Says:
^^I haven’t heard Streetlights.

I kind of dig the first 3 or 4 tracks that leaked, but “Paranoid” with Kid Cudi is HORRIBLE (in my opinion).
I know some people dug it, but oh man, not even on the same level as “Coldest Winter” or “Love Lockdown” (or even “Heartless”.
“Amazing” is alright, it’s actually a giant step up from “Paranoid”, in my mind.

I am for taking Kanye out of the dark side of the force, but Kanye is that kind of artist able to do a CLASSIC album and you have to take risks for that. 808’s will be the “BOMB” or just a good different album.

DJ Hen Says:
its alright, streetlights is the bomb, listening to it right now…. i think overall listening to the whole cd from start to finish might make it alright, beats seem dark which i like but ill buy it

I like this. Its very radio-headish..
this is more like what Ye should’ve been doing. Not over auto-tuning every single line.

Will Says:
If he came out with one or two tracks with all this autotune and simplistic beats (which I think are sick) It would be groundbreaking. But seriously all this shit sounds the same…and this is coming from a dude who sort of likes it. He’s not there lyrically like they usually are with Kanye. They aren’t creative (some exceptions i.e. Heartless). The album is called 808’s and Heartbreak because that’s exactly what he’s doing to his true fans. But Kanye do your thing brother man you haven’t lost me as a fan just yet.
|
| 14. |
Will Says:
eh that part about the lyrics doesn’t really make sense. I just mean his lyrics are all too simple and uncreative…I just feel like he’s “dumbin’ it down”

Burrn Says:
I listen to all the song of the album and I like it.
You can’t call this hiphop, it’s a whole new genre. Kanye is indeed an ARTist.
Okay I have to say there are a couple of songs that don’t deserve to be on the album. But a lot of songs are bangers.
Most Kanye fans will drop him after this I think. But I just love him more because he’s being so creative. He always is trying something new and now he’s doing it again but on a much bigger level.

Right with you on Yeezy’s new ish here. I’ll pass you the salt if we need it but don’t expect a big dinner.

Dr. Dope Says:
I’ve never been a fan, or even thought Kanye was ‘cool’ but I have respected what he does for hip hop. add this to the list ever so long list of Kanye songs I don’t like (the list of songs i do like is close to 6)

i’ve listened to the advance and it’s not bad, but it’s like going to papadeaux’s and finding out they don’t do shrimp anymore.
1. i had my heart set on shrimp.
2. wtf do you mean you don’t have shrimp? this is supposed to be a seafood restaurant.
with the autotune thing it’s like not only do they not do shrimp, finding something else you like on the menu is pointless because everything is cooked the same way.

I don’t have high hopes for 808’s & Snackbreaks but I will cop this fo sho. This will be my first CD I will cop of his too, after this I will cop his older joints, to me it’ll be like listening to 2000’s hip-hop then going to listen to some 90’s joints.
