Ashley Dupré has barely stepped into the music biz and everyone’s already avoiding her like a leper. Chris Lighty, fearing the possibility of losing some street cred, has released a statement debunking reports about his involvement with Dupré.

Statement from Chris Lighty and Violator Management:

“Despite media reports, Chris Lighty and Violator Management do not represent Ashley Dupre. Lighty helped negotiate an interview for Dupre with Diane Sawyer, and has no further involvement in Dupre’s career.”
