Behold Your 2009 NBA All-Star Starters

Take a gander at your 2009 NBA All-Star starters. Somehow Chris Paul managed to amass 2 million votes in just 10 days, because he’s Chris Muthafuckin’ Paul. That and because David Stern is a Smooth Operator. Not only did he (allegedly) instruct his goons to rig the voting, he also enlisted an NBA scribe to write this laughable article, which references an anonymous Chinese journalist, to deflect any possible criticism. Nicely done, Mr. Stern.

I miss the good ol’ days when KG and Duncan were our Forwards.

KG’s move to the East changes everything.

This match-up is well-balanced IMO.

T-Mac has no place in the All-Star lineup this year. I voted for Chris Paul and Brandon Roy.

Here’s the thing though. T-Mac had an incredibly huge lead over Paul just 10 days ago. Then suddenly Paul mysteriously garnered 100,000+ votes per day until he “amassed” 1.2 million votes. Really? No one’s complaining right now because he’s the best PG in the NBA and deserves to start at the All-Star game. However, what type of precedent is the league setting by rigging the system? Why not come clean and say “fans fucked up, but we fixed it for ya”?

The Association needs to do something about the voting process. Yi Jianlian actually had a shot at taking KG’s spot. Stern needs to listen to some of JVG’s ideas on the process.

JVG was saying something about having a weighted system where the fans still have an influence but not to the point where the Chinese vote transforms Yi and Yu into All-Stars.

Allen Iverson is only starting because he is Allen Iverson. Devin Harris should be the starting PG for the east hands down.

T-Mac over Paul? Rigged or not, Paul should have been starting since day 1 of voting.
