Run-DMC Crowned Kings of Rock Forever

Run-DMC, who obviously invented hip-hop in 1984, have been inducted into the 2009 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The trio of Joseph “Run” Simmons, Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels, and Jason “Jam-Master Jay” Mizell gained notoriety in the 80s by eating unlaced Adidas sneakers for breakfast every morning. Which somehow led to their induction. They are now Kings of Rock forever and ever.

This calls for celebration. Celebratory video after the cut.

You are right it was Curtis Blow and Sugar Hill Gang. Curtis Blow is also known as the King of Rap.
