DOOM – ‘Born Like This’ Swag Bag

With no more concertgoers left to rip off, MF Doom is now keeping busy with a new album allegedly titled Born Like This, due on March 24 via Lex Records. No one knows whether Doom intends to rap on any of the songs or if Dr. Seuss will be filling in for the Masked One.

Everything from the album artwork to its tracklist has become a source of utter confusion. Oh, and did I mention that the title is Born Like This or Born Into This, depending on what day of the week it is?

Grab the hi-res cover art (above) and proceed for tracklist, mp3s, and two alternate covers.

Reunited and It Feels So Good

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the ‘09 Ike & Tina.

“They’re together again. They care for each other,” says the source. The on-again couple are currently spending time together at one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’s homes, on Miami Beach’s Star Island.

Adds the source: “While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves.”

And the Bulls Still Lost

Wizards 113, Bulls 90

Barry took a break from politics to watch his Bulls take an ass whooping from the Washington Wizards last night at the Verizon Center. Like a true Bulls fan, he only watched the first 3 quarters and left as soon as it became evident that Luol Deng is overrated.

Early Verdict on Mos Def’s The Ecstatic: Grade ‘A’

What Mos Def’s last 2 albums did to listeners

Tom Minogue of the Collegiate Times supposedly heard Most Def’s eagerly awaited 4th solo album, The Ecstatic (due May 19). Lucky bastard! His review is adorned with all kinds of hyperbole, which indicates that he was jumping up and down ecstatically as he wrote it. In a nut shell, he describes The Ecstatic as “an easy-to-absorb, excellent-to-listen-to venture of the orchestrated word” and a sign that hip-hop is “is alive and kicking.” Of course, if any of this is true it calls for a bottle of Ace of Spades. Because let’s face it, if Dante Smith can’t make a decent album then hip-hop might as well be in the crater. Here’s Minogue’s glowing review of The Ecstatic.

Kanye West doesn’t care about Radiohead

Kanye: “Thom Yorke’s hairstyle is overrated”

Kanye dissed Radiohead during a recent taping of VH1’s Storytellers. Too bad, the comments will not make it to air when the episode premieres on VH1 tomorrow.

During the taping, according to a Reuters reporter, West was aggrieved that Radiohead singer Thom Yorke had allegedly snubbed him backstage at the Grammys five days earlier. That hurt, West told the audience, because he idolizes the British band, and considers it one of his few creative rivals.

“So when he performed at the Grammys, I sat the f— down,” West said. [Y!]

Snoop and Cube Say Retire Kobe’s No. 8 Jersey NOW

Oh look, it’s a video of your favorite senior citizen rappers Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube chopping it up about retired Lakers jerseys in between smoke breaks. Cube insists that Lakers should go ahead and retire Kobe Bryant’s No. 8 jersey, you know the one he used to wear before he became Michael Jordan 2.0. If Cube says return it, then retire the damn jersey. It’s not like anyone’s using it.

On another note, hit the jump to see why Shaq is the greatest athlete of ever.
