Even though these songs say degrading things about women or disrespect them, they are still selling aren't they? You have to ask yourself if the lyrics are really being taken seriously and literally. Many of the rappers who sing about the things they do, put on a show. They don't really disrepespect women like they say they do in their songs. Sex sells. Even if it is considered degrading. The degrading comments are what create the shock factor and get people talking. It's to the point where it is almost normal to hear a woman be disrespected in a song. Do we allow it to happen and is there any way of stopping it?

hey. "I Hate U" by Z-Ro is not a song about disrespecting women. The song is about his ex-girlfriend who told the police he was dealing drugs and had him sent to jail.
