Wale Not So Enamored of Charles Hamilton
Don’t look now, but Wale finally fired back at Sonic the Hedgehog. Apparently, 20 million years ago, Sonic said something greasy on a song called “Windows Media Player.” After we posted the song, Sonic logged on to this very site and added his own opinion in the comment section, but I digress.
Anyhoo, there was this one rhyme in that “Windows Media Player” song which caused beef connoisseurs to pause and go, “Hmmm…” The alleged diss goes like this: “Seen in your favorite magazine with a great pose. Cause I don’t pose, cause I hate pose-urs. Except for one photoshoot. For Complex, what the heck was I supposed to do? I had fun, acted mad young. I was flyer than the rest of ‘em, why am I addressing ‘em?“
As it turns out, the line “Flier than the rest of ‘em” was already associated with Wale who used it on his song “Nike Boots.” It is unfailingly a diss to this Wale fella. Cue OUTRAGE!
Oh, and this:
“I’m not his n*gga. And? He didn’t diss me… besides, I think this is the show he was telling me about… or was it the show where in a freestyle he said “F*ck Charles Hamilton?” I don’t know/care. if its an issue, I’m sure as vocal as Wale is, we’ll hear about it. I mean, other rappers did entire interviews thoroughly explaining their issue with me. Then again, they got ignored, too. Damn. When I go fishing for a shark, I end up with tadpoles at the end of my fishing rod. Shucks… oh well… Until the next time I speak to Wale, this gets filed under ‘TheShruggingShoulders’ ” — Charles Hamilton
And then they both got dropped from Interscope for drawing too much attention to their respective albums. THE END. [Rap Basement]
