Maybe, Doom. I liked the Brother Ali too. Jadakiss was alright, nothing too special. Budden’s album disappointed me since his Mood Musik trilogy was so good, I somehow expected his LP to be up to that standard.

Hopefully Slaughterhouse drops something this year.

Saigons was actually pretty noice. Doom was real hot too.

Madlib’s Beat Konducta 5-6 is a highlight for me as well. That might not be considered strictly a HipHop album by everybody though. And it’s been released in two parts on vinyl already in 2008.

I also put P.O.S.’s “Never Better” as the top album of ‘09 to date. There’s nothing comparable to this…by that, I mean I’ve never heard any record that sounds like this cat’s does.

I think most Def’s album is a great album and its definitely 2nd best album of 2009. You should check out “Holistic”, I believe they have the best hip-hop album of 2009 and they have received nothing but excellent reviews.
