Houston Hip-Hop Refuses to Die Quietly
Slim Thug – “Welcome to Houston” (Feat. Chamillionaire, Z-Ro, Lil Keke, & UGK)
If H-town is ever going to regain its hegemony on hip-hop it’ll require a collective effort. This is a good start.

Juan got you Says: June 21st, 2009 at 3:02 am houston rap will not die. chopped and screwed is original and so unique every other side of the nation wants something to be attached to. West coast vs east coast is dead and the south has been on its A-game. And Houston is on top of the mountain with such rappers as Trae, Z-ro, Bun b, KeKe, Slim Thug, Paul Wall, and others. It seems every side of the nation is trying to copy the style of houston. Even rappers like lil wanyne are paying tribute to the death of pimp c, big moe and DJ screw. All from h-town Houston has its on music scene and its not ever going to dissapear without a fight. keep on gridin houston |
