40 Years Ago A Guy Made One Small Step

moon

It’s 40 years ago today that Buzz Lightyear walked around on a soundstage in Colorado Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first people to set foot on the moon. In celebration of this occasion the TRU Historical Society presents you these three moon-themed HipHop songs. Enjoy!

The self-proclaimed ‘man on the moon’ from Cleveland dropped his anthem appropriately titled ‘Man On The Moon (The Anthem)’ on the critically acclaimed ‘a Kid named Cudi’ mixtape.

Atmosphere dropped the track ‘Full Moon’ on their gift to the fans ‘Strictly Leakage’.

And of course, how could you talk about Hip-Hop and the moon and not mention the Boot Camp Click fellas?

BONUS VIDEO: Some people still insist it was all a scam by the US government and nobody ever landed on the moon. You’d think one scam would be sufficient but they just had to laugh in your face for six times all the way up to Apollo 17! Watch out with that talk around Buzz Aldrin though, the man is well into his eighties but he’ll puch your f@ck!ng lights out!
