U.S. House Speaker explains that it’s not necessary to pass a resolution recognizing Michael Jackson as a music legend, because it might lead to the expression of contrarian views.

Uhm… debating contrarian views, isn’t that kind of a vital part of a politician’s job?

2. Probably Says:

I think what she means is she doesn’t want a bunch of people doing what Rep. King did last week, basically calling MJ a POS on the floor of Congress in order to score cheap political points. Its simply not worth the hassle and it would likely do nothing but anger MJ supporters and family.

Now stop being so rational. It’s more fun to take it out of context.

4. Mikey McFly Says:

Well hey, in my book MJ is still the man and that’s all that matters

5. Pat Says:

We don’t need Congress to tell us MJ is a legend. They have other things to focus on, and we have better ways to honor him.

6. Dave Says:

Oh look, something else completely ridiculous for people to argue about. I can’t believe this stuff goes to congress.

7. 80sbby90skd Says:

I respect her reasoning. And really why does stuff like this have to go through Congress.

8. Rezz909 Says:

Fuck MJ and Pelosi!

9. enzo Says:

pretty funny how there was no evidence of him molesting, wasn’t convicted, but it’s just widely believed he fucked kids.
