Newton, those were real revolutionaries. The rest, including Eldridge Cleaver led to the decline of black socialist radicalism and started the turn into ineffectual identity politics and racist quackery. / end rant the bars are pretty tight though |

July 9th, 2009 at 2:58 pm And I’ll add that even though he is maligned and put into the same category as Sharpton by a lot of the hiphop community, Jesse Jackson’s push into the Democratic Party in the 1980s was very significant and never compromised its principles. |
