Oh boy, I thought I’d heard it all but this one beats everything.

While you were busy drinking away the weekend, a group spearheaded by Brendan Kennedy and Neal Medlyn were paying tribute to Kanye via an evening-length performance of 808s & Heartbreak. The event featured superstars translating pieces inspired by each song from the album. (Guess who decided to make a surprise appearance at the show?)

For her bit, Ann Liv Young, a provocative live performer with no regard whatsoever for conformity, decided to honor Kanye with a rendition of “Love Lockdown.” But that wasn’t all she had on the menu for the audience. Warning: Keep your drink as far away from the screen as possible before reading this next paragraph:

The evening became tense and uncomfortable when notorious (and buck-naked) performance artist Ann Liv Young confronted Kanye personally, shouting that she didn’t think 808s was his best work, all the while grinding barbecued pork into her naked crotch (and then eating it). We all know Kanye is no stranger to confrontation and controversy, so perhaps Liv Young was paying tribute to that? In any case, the audience reacted with absolute horror during her “interpretation” of “Love Lockdown.”

To Kanye’s credit, he barely flinched. (Liv Young rather shrewdly ended her performance by shouting, “I love your work with Common,” before gathering her clothes — and pork products — and scurrying offstage.)
