i think what makes jay great is that he IS constantly evolving, though i’ll admit each change def takes some getting used to…

I think it’s a good thing that his ow has changed and evolved. I think that not only does it speak to how talented Jay=Z is, but also that it allows him to keep bringing in a new audience by evolving his style.

Though the hook is catchy, I’m disappointed by Drake’s role in the song. I was all hyped for the chance for Drake to show his stuff on a big track, and I think it’s kindpf a letdown compared to what we all assumed he’d do.

I agree with brendannadnerb. Being a big fan of Drake, I figured he was gonna do amazing on this song. Still a pretty nice song though. And yeah, it is a grower.

better than half the stuff out there but…jay could’ve come waaaay harder than this and that might as well be J-cole singing that hook. Drake is on this song in name only, musically that chorus could’ve been done by anyone.

This sounds like track 10 on the timbaland beat cd he thought he’d never sell.

i dont like run this town. everybody knew timbo was gonna drop his new generation of style on this album. he went from indian to japanese to techno to whatever this is. jay needs to come a little harder. AH.

Jay actually brought it lyrically and flow-wise this is one of his better songs but like you all have stated it does take some getting used to but I prefer his flow on this one compared to ‘Run this town’ which was borderline annoying.

I want to like this song I guess it may be a grower..I think Drake being on the song obviously was to bite into the hype and attention he (Drake) is getting..I’m really surprised Jay didn’t let him spit over it.

It sounded like Jay made this track with Tim on the chorus and scrubbed him after he heard the hype about Drake cuz the album was probably just gettin pressed and he just squeezed him in. Definitely wanted to hear him spit!
