Yea, maybe they shoulda let her stab someone before they threw her on the ground. If you dont listen the police will do what they want the end. So when a police officer asks you to put the knife down dont walk towards them with the knife just put it down DUH! Otherwise ur about to get f**ked up

we dont say “fuck the police” for nothing…cops really know how to handle shit, knife in one hand cane in the other. actually surprised they didnt pull the tazers while they were at it. Reasonable force? maybe if they were trying to kill her for her “crimes”

They did the right things, she was waving with a knife. Also maybe she wasn’t 100% mentally, happens a lot with old folks.

It doesn’t matter who it is. Waving a knife around at cops = body slam or Taser. Maybe they could have handled her a little more gingerly (which they don’t have time for if a stabbing might occur), but however you feel about cops, if you fuck with them, prepare for the consequences.

However, she’s an old lady. The cops lose no matter what they do. Pepper spray: lose. Scream at her: lose. Slap the knife out of her hand and cuff her: lose. No win situation for the cops.

That doesn’t look the cop intended to slam her. It looks like the old lady fell while the cop tried to wrestle the knife away. For those who think the force is excessive, how would you have handled it?

That being said that old lady wasn’t a threat to anyone.. they could have brought have kept police in the area and tried to get someone to convince her to put the knife down. She was clearly having something medical going on with her and she didn’t need to be taken down right away.

Crazy lady shouldn’t have had a knife on her. Totally justifiable. She was putting herself and potentially other people in danger by having that weapon.
Not sure what this has to do with hiphop though.

A hip toss is a completely justifiable move to unarm an assailant, at any age. Momentum and gravity are to blame for how hard she hit the ground.

First of all if anyone read the newscast,and watched the video,it is a clear case of excessive force.Firstly, the women wasn’t waving the knife around you can clearly see in the video she raised it once and the cop was nowhere near her at that point,the women wasn’t projecting violent tendencies for gods sake she walked right past two pedestrians with no qualms.Secondly,when the police officer walked up to her she put the knife behind her damn back as though she feared the officer would take the knife from her wielding her defenseless in an already fearful situation.The elderly woman wasn’t swinging the knife at the cop like she was about to thump with her,so talk her down,don’t inflict bodily harm to an old ass lady like that,shit the woman had a cane how much damage did that cop expect her to put on her?Ridiculous,now here is another eye opener for all you who think she was aptly met with danger.If this woman was really trying to stab this cop,how in the hell did that officer get close enough for one to grip this lady up,tuck her fucking leg in between this old ladies leg,and straight up body slam her?She swung this elderly woman around her entire left side and slam her,this cop is what twice her size,and probably has 4 times more strength behind her? She came out trying to make a fucking point to all the minorities standing around that she is the law and you’re not going to cross us or I’ll do this to you and get away with it,come on man ya’ll wildin’ out if you think this chick was right in what she did.If you can body someone to the point that they are trying to fight you off of them in fear and not being successful at fighting you back you know you went to fucking far straight up.The officer was out of line,and her back-up? Outstanding!You have 4 fucking cop cars rolling up for an 84 year old woman who was slammed to the ground and blood is gushing from her head? Not once did I see anyone of those fucks calling a paramedic or anything…Lastly,that officer knew she fucked up,if you pay close attention her face is red as FUCK,white people only get like that when they know they wrong,or if someone just did something outrageously romantic for them,I don’t buy it,and neither should any of you.
