Lol … did u even listen he wasn’t taking shots – all he did was point out the difference in Jay-z now and Jay-z from Marcy. Those two go way back just like when Jay says I thought I got rid of 50 at summer jam on “star is born”

First of all, it was a shot. Secondly, it wasn’t a very good one. Finally, it is just me or does 50’s flow sound a little bit like Em’s from Relapse?

I should say his “voice” more than his flow…Em’s rhyme schemes are obviously far more complex.

This isn’t a shot but more so like him stating the nature of his life and the game is changing. I think 50 is at that musical crossroad in his career. He’s successful but he can’t even get his own label to get behind him like the did when he first came out. He feels he deserves more respect that what’s given, but he doesn’t see he hasn’t really earned that NAS, BIG, JAY, EM status. Financially he’s up there but not artistically.

Obviously A Star Is Born is a compliment. By saying ‘Man I thought I got rid of you’ he is implying that he didn’t, in fact get rid of 50 during Sumemr Jam and that Fifty Cents was a big enough star to outlast a direct blatent Jay-Z diss. The name of the track is a ‘Star is Born’. I just wanted to restate that because it may not be obvious. What’s also not so obvious to some is the line leading up to that is “50 came through like hurricanes do,
I thought I’d finish his ass at summerjam too.”
