Akon – ‘Freedom’ Album Cover

Speaking of album covers, Akon has just unveiled the artwork for his upcoming 3rd album, Freedom. As you can see, he’s dressed sharply in a suit that rivals only his complexion for blackness. An incredibly blue sea has been photoshopped into the background probably to symbolize Akon’s journey to the United States where, after a brief stint as a car thief, he figured out how to turn tragedy into triumph, street songs into hit songs, and most importantly, chipmunk vocals into platinum plaques.

Freedom arrives on December 2, 2008.

The Knux – ‘Remind Me in 3 Days’ Cover Art

Krispy and Al Millio lounging on a couch without a care in the world on the cover of their Interscope debut, Remind Me in 3 Days. It’s been great watching these guys go from virtual unknowns to one of the most buzzed about new acts in the game. I still remember getting reamed for comparing their sound to OutKast’s. What can I say? I knew the rest of the world would catch up someday.

Remind Me in 3 Days arrives on October 28.

Judging by the tracklist for Stick 2 the Script, it has to be an outstanding compilation. A State Prop reunion? Black Rob back from the dead? Joell, Skyzoo and Ortiz on one track? Anything short of great would be considered a failure.

If it disappoints, we can always direct our blame to Statik for setting the bar so high with this gorgeous single. Peep the tracklist and, more importantly, guest list below.
