Doh! Hip-Hop Artists Simpsonized

no-homer-posse

Homer and Marge can now boast of some gangstafied company, thanks to the clever minds at Moxy Creative. What follows is an epic concept which turns hip-hop figures into Simpson characters. The set features Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, Flava Flav, Eazy E, Andre 3000, Eminem, and Fat Joe alongside iconic O representations for each artist. Too bad Buckshot didn’t get one. Buck is a huge fan of The Simpsons.

Hit the jump for some Simpsonized hip-hop figures.

Freebie Friday: Rare Biggie Songs (1992)

When this 7-track mixbag of rough, rugged and raw oldies first surfaced, the Internetz wrongly dubbed it Biggie’s Demo Tape.

It turned out to be an assortment of previously unreleased Biggie songs circa 1992, though no less remarkable. Whenever you can catch Frank White rhyming about slaying Larry Johnson’s grandmother and cutting MCs down like lumber, you’re in for a treat.

Without further ado, I give you today’s Freebie Friday. Read the rest of this entry »

Life After Death Quilts

Anne Brenneke made these quilts as part of her graduation project. They feature four deceased hip-hop icons: The Notorious B.I.G., Big L, Eazy E, and J Dilla. I think they’re way better than the snuggie. Peep more quilts and a video of Anne Brenneke after the gap. Read the rest of this entry »

Proof That Biggie Smalls Is Still Alive?

Hey look! Someone slipped me this video of Biggie Smalls, who is obviously still alive and hiding in some secret Afghan cave fortress, bragging about his pinky ring. No one knew how to rock a mean pinky ring better than Biggie. Proceed for a clip of an exuberant B.I.G. talking smack on YouTube. Read the rest of this entry »

Notorious K.I.M.

I just saw Notorious for the first time. It wasn’t mindblowing at all. Gravy as Biggie = Brilliant. Pac’s character = A botch job. Naturi as Lil Kim = A+ But daaaayum, they did Lil Kim dirty.

Movie overall = C
