Hate him or love him, Chamillionaire is a very important figure in Houston. So important is King Koopa that he’s been picked as Co-Grand Marshal of the 15th Annual MLK Grande Parade in Houston. Cham is the first hip-hop artist ever picked for this honorable position.
More interestingly, state and city elected officials participating in the parade will be transported in cars provided by Chamillionaire’s well-known custom car shop, Fly Rydes. Imagine how gangsta Mayor White would look in this Fly Ride whip. And I’m sure Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee would look sinister in this one.

Chamillionaire was at Houston’s own 97.9 The Box to promote his new single, “Creepin’ Solo (featuring Ludacris),” and boy, was he crunk or what? To paraphrase Koopa, how can you hate this song?
Consider it my early Thanksgiving gift to you. Cham’s new album, Venom, is scheduled for early 2009 (which could mean anywhere from January to July). In case you missed it the first time, here’s his lead single, Creepin’ (Solo) featuring Ludacris.

Check out Chamillionaire’s new street single from his upcoming Venom LP. I don’t think Luda’s presence was necessary on this. At some point, Cham will have to prove that he’s capable of holding down a single (or even an entire album) by himself if he wants to make that next step to the upper echelons of hip-hop greats.

Never one to waste a rhyme, Koopa spits a solid 16 over DJ Khaled’s “Go Hard” beat. Mixtape Messiah 5 drops in November. His new album is expected to follow in December.
I posted pics of Trae and Chamillionaire handing out ice and water to Ike victimes the other day. Here’s a video of those two at a POD in Sharpstown Mall. If you can’t respect that, your whole perspective is wack.

This video was obviously recorded today, perhaps even hours ago. How do I know? Well, you can still see a clip of Sarah Palin giving her speech on CNN. Cham is basically rambling off on a bunch of topics, including Obama’s historic candidacy and Mixtape Messiah 4. He also hints at a new Mixtape Messiah installment scheduled for November, a month before the arrival of his 3rd album.
