If you’re among those who seriously believed that Diddy had anything to do with 2Pac’s 1994 shooting, then you got your April Fool’s a little early this year. The Smoking Gun examined documents used in the LA Times story and found that they were created by a convicted con man and rap fan notorious for exaggerating his place in the hip-hop world. They also noticed that the so-called FBI documents seemed phony because they were written on a typewriter instead of a computer. Apparently the dumbass who created the fake documents didn’t realize that feds stopped using typewriters 30 years ago.
They also found structural errors, grammatical deficiencies, phrases and acronyms that are inconsistent with FBI lingo, among other things.
Chuck Philips who did the story apologized on LAT’s website, saying: “In relying on documents that I now believe were fake, I failed to do my job. I’m sorry.”
Diddy’s reading the retraction right now going “I told you so.” I’d be surprised if he doesn’t sue them for defamation or something.
Diddy is featured in the current issue of Time , where he answers 10 Questions from readers. Some of the Q & As are pretty insightful. Take a look, you might learn something: Read the rest of this entry »
Back in July, Diddy launched a nationwide search for a new weed carrier via YouTube. He picked one of three super finalists to be his PA, on Oprah’s YouTube-themed show a couple days ago. There’s something to be said for a contest that ends up with the finalists as: one black man, one white dude, and one woman. But, I digress…
Observing the “ladies first” rule, Diddy chose Heather Joy Thompson as he new professional weed carrier. Check out Heather’s winning entry, where she talks about her four P’s. Must be the power of the P.U. — well, you know the rest… Read the rest of this entry »
It’s been 9 months since Press Play hit the shelves, yet Diddy can’t stop, won’t stop caking off that album. “Through the Pain” is the fourth single and fifth video from PP. Now, you know damn well that Aasim can only hope for a $50 video budget when his album drops. (Sorry, were you saying something about Black Rob?)
Now that Farnsworth Bentley has found a new job somewhere in Kanye’s New York apartment, Diddy is looking for a new personal assistant via GooTube. If you decide to apply, be sure to scrutinize the paperwork so you don’t end up paying him royalties 10 years down the line. Who knows, you could make like Mr. Bentley and graduate from wielding umbrellas to grabbing behinds.
