Writing Foxy

Last week, I called on hip-hop fans everywhere to write Foxy in jail. The vlogging geniuses at The Real took it one step further and created a video message to Inga. Hilarious.

Write Foxy Brown

Hey hip-hop fans, Inga wants to hear from you (excuse the pun). You know, it can get pretty lonely in jail. So, if you have too much time on your hands, jot down the following address:

Foxy Brown – Lights Go Out

fox-brown.jpg

::Foxy Brown – Lights Go Out (taken from Don Diva)

Foxy Brown’s team has been doing a solid job of keeping her name alive, even when Foxy herself is bent on murdering whatever iota of pertinence she has left. Hip-hop fans are finicky. They’ll eventually get sick of an artist who’s constantly picking up charges when she could be dropping gems.

I’m still rooting for Inga, though. Can’t sit around and watch the last few talented femcees fade away from the game like an MJ jump shot.

Free Foxy Brown

foxy-brown.jpg

Fox Boogie heard that no one was chanting “Free Foxy Brown,” so she decided to take the initiative herself:

Foxy Brown has announced the launch of her new website, www.FreeFoxyBrown.com dedicated to all things Foxy. Visit often for up-to-the minute Foxy updates, new tracks from her forthcoming new album, Brooklyn’s Don Diva, and much more. Foxy is personally involved in the content contained on this website, accept no imitations! Fans can write to Foxy behind bars through the website.

Foxy states, “I devoted my career to building an affinity with my fans who have supported me unflinchingly and no barbed wire fence or prison wall will stop that. I am in great spirits and very focused, and needed a forum to communicate to the people.”

Foxy’s KOCH debut, Brooklyn’s Don Diva, will hit the streets on November 20th, 2007. Here’s a couple of Foxy tracks to hold you over till then:

Foxy Brown Dumps Def Jam

foxy-brown.jpg
Fox Boogie has officially excavated herself from the Black Oasis. According to a press release I received from Foxy Brown’s handlers today, she has now joined the ever growing team of escapees over at Koch Records where she’ll release her next album, Brooklyn’s Don Diva. The album is due out in December, via her Koch-distributed label Black Roses Entertainment.
