Everytime a reporter lures Obama into talking about hip-hop he seizes the opportunity to rehash these 4 talking points:
Well, not in those words. But you get the point. Anyway, Obama shouting out hip-hop is obviously a big deal. It’s such a big deal that news sites can’t get enough of it. Boot Camp Clik veteran Buckshot has been hospitalized after suffering a series of seizures. Buckshot was scheduled to perform at a sold-out live show in New York tonight alongside Sean Price, Tek, Steele and others, but the show has now been canceled.
Duck Down CEO Dru Ha released a statement on Buckshot’s health:
“While of course we are disappointed to have to reschedule a sold out show, obviously nothing takes precedent over Buckshot’s health.”
No shit. Here’s wishing the BDI thug a speedy recovery.

In case you had any doubts, Jay confirmed to Time Out New York that he’s really teaming up with Kanye on Blueprint 3. I’m sure you know exactly why he picked Kanye over Timbaland, but here’s Jay in his own words:

Kanye and Jeezy working on 808s and Heartbreak?
Kanye says he will now release his 4th album, 808s and Heartbreak, in November instead of the previously promised December date. Although he claims to have moved up the album because he wants “y’all to hear it as soon as possible,” 50’s decision to drop his own album in December probably had something to do with it. Either way, we’re not complaining.

By now, you’ve probably heard that Travis Barker and DJ AM were the survivors of a plane crash that claimed 4 lives earlier today. Barker and AM sustained 2nd and 3rd-degree burns from the crash and are still listed in critical condition. The good news is that they’re both expected to recover.
