After seeing the star-stuffed lineup for American Gangster — Denzel Washington, Russel Crowe, Chiwetel Ejiofor, T.I., RZA, Common, Cuba Gooding Jr., Idris Elba, etc — I walked into last night’s press screening expecting a typical blaxploitation flick.
