If H-town is ever going to regain its hegemony on hip-hop it’ll require a collective effort. This is a good start.
If you’ve never heard of Godwon, this track is for you. It’s like autobiography on wax. Pull up a chair, grab a cold drink, and crank your speakers wayyy up. Feedback, criticism, or fridge-throwing is always welcome.

Mike Jones’ heavily bejeweled Ice Age pendant was stolen from his neck in what the Bayou city rapper described as a “learning lesson” (not to be confused with a teaching lesson). Peep MJ’s account of the unfortunate incident:
“I was asleep in my house one day, I woke up, and my homie stole it from me,” Mike Jones explained to BallerStatus. “They stole the [white platinum] chain, the bracelet, and the watch, but I still got my ring though. I’m good. All that was insured, so all that’s coming back.”
Nothing like some good ol’ Houston-bred hood rap to spice up a lazy Hump Day. I feel so much better after watching this.
