I was pleasantly surprised by Cube’s album, Raw Footage. No, it wasn’t mindblowing, but he showed flashes of his old, raw self on many songs, including “Why Me.” Let’s face it, I don’t think anyone was expecting another Death Certificate after all those family movies.

Ice Cube – “Get Used to It” (ft. The Game & WC)
Rumor has it that the Game has been asked to replace Mack 10 in a new and improved Westside Connection. If “Get Used to It” is any indication of what they’re cooking up, don’t even waste my time with that weak sauce.
It’s interesting to see more and more rappers namedropping Obama these days.

Ice Cube weighs in on the beef between Ice-T and Soulja Boy, saying that the conflict reflects the “generational gap” between Ice-T and Soulja Boy. He then goes off on a tangent about how the Internet is somehow responsible for hip-hop’s demise.
