Joe Budden – “No Comment” (Produced by: J Cardim)

For a song titled “No Comment” Joe Budden sure as hell went in on this. Joey’s new album, Escape Route, is available now via Amalgalm Digital. More importantly, the only album worth copping this month also arrives today.

slaughterhouse-artwork

Slaughterhouse may be the first hip-hop group with no real weak link. Joell, Royce, Joey, and Crooked are all capable of holding down an entire album. Together, they’re deadly. So, rather than debate the weakest link, we decided to debate the strongest. Proceed for our thoughts on the question, “Who’s the best MC in Slaughterhouse?” Each entry is followed by a list of the best Slaughterhouse MCs ranked in order of superiority. – Rizoh

Joe Budden is So Sowwy for Method Man Diss

“I’m trying to behave and get money” — Joe Budden

After two months of non-stop f-ckery, Joe Budden apologizes to Method Man, but says he won’t hesitate to go after Meth’s friends (*cough*Inspectah Deck) if he needs to. Smart move, Slaughterhouse..er…Joey.

The Pros and Cons of Wu-Tang Clan vs. Slaughterhouse

slaughter-mouse

Last night, Andrew put me on to this Inspectah Deck diss track in which he goes at Joe Budden. Though he (Andrew) hailed it as the beginning of the epic battle between the 300 and the Persian army, I was not convinced until I heard the song. Even then, my initial reaction was, “Ok, so they sent Deck? Joey gets no respect.” But at the end of the day, my cynical side is the reasonable side and I realized that he’s the one with an album release date in 2009 listed as TBA. Of course they sent Deck, its all business. Now I’m going to go ahead and assume that if/when Jumpoff responds, he will mention the entire Wu-Tang Clan and I hope and pray that he recruits the help of his co-workers beforehand. So it takes a little imagination and looking forward into the future, but we could legitimately see the battle of the decade beginning before us. That being said, since we all know that Joe Budden has the “Jayceon Taylor disease” which makes him incapable of holding his tongue; we can assume that something will happen. So, here are my pros and cons to what could turn into a very legit battle if the right people get off of the sidelines. Read the rest of this entry »

Shots Fired: Inspectah Deck – “House N*gga (Joe Budden Diss)”
Hit the download button to hear Deck swinging at Joe Budden on behalf of Method Man. OK, we need to establish some ground rules here. No disses from the other clansmen. Let’s how Budden fares going toe to toe with Method Man. Till then, I’m hitting the snooze button on this one.

Photos From Slaughterhouse’s “One” Video Shoot

Ortiz Is Sleeping

The boys from Slaughterhouse are putting their first music video together from their upcoming, self-titled release set to come out August 11, 2009. Yesterday at the Night Hotel  in New York City, Slaughterhouse shot their first official music video directed by Rik Cordero. The theme? Well, peep the pictures after the jump but if you’ve seen The Hangover it’s going to be pretty obvious.

As The Slaughterhouse Turns

When I heard rumblings of Slaughterhouse being formed I got excited, I mean these guys are the Fantastic Four of the rap-game. Gargantuan lyricists all roped together to form an even bigger, harder hitting, deeper rap entity that’s mission was to rid the scene of emcees who weren’t carrying the banner of hip-hop the way it should be. Welcome to the Slaughterhouse, enter at your own risk. Read the rest of this entry »
