In keeping with his tradition of peddling things we either don’t need or can’t afford, Kanye West has once again teamed up with poku artist Takashi Murakami to create a golden sculpture of the Dropout Bear. I bought The College Dropout five years ago and that was money well spent, but I have way better things to do with money than spend it on a golden Pedobear sculpture. How much would you pony up for this bad boy and what exactly would you use it for anyway?

As he does whenever his music or video is met with widespread skepticism, Kanye’s pointing fingers at some foul play. Mr. West claims that someone leaked the wrong version of his “Paranoid” music video. He’s probably right this time, because that video was nothing but a snoozefest. I mean, it was four minutes of Rihanna staring at the camera and touching herself, while fully dressed. There’s no way Yeezy was going to let anyone else get more face time in his own music video.

Okay, the title’s a bit misleading because this video’s all Rihanna. The plot centers around Rihanna touching herself for 4 minutes. Not that anyone’s complaining. Oh, and if Rih Rih looks like she needs acting lessons in this clip it’s because she does.

“Rihanna will start filming Personal Protection later this year,” an insider told nydailynews.com. “She’s not ready, actingwise, yet, so she’s meeting with a coach.”

In Day 2 of Yeezy-watch 2009, I just heard the upsetting rumor that Kanye and Amber broke up. I’ve always said that if they can’t make it work, then maybe no one can! All sarcasm aside, this upsets me for three reasons:

1. Kanye finally found someone who could keep up with his level of crazy
2. Rumor has it that this stems from an affair with Cassidy (Really, Amber?)
3. Nas and Kelis are just entering the nasty part of the divorce proceedings.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

Our favorite college dropout is telling Chicagoans to do what he says and not what he does. The Kanye West foundation is sponsoring an event on Chi-town’s southside called “Stay in School” to honor his mother who recently passed away. According to the Clash article:

The idea for the concert came from a Chicago teenager who approached the rapper. Kanye West was so taken with the event that he decided his Kanye West Foundation (KWF) would be the sponsor for ‘Stay In School’.

So there’s your good deed for the day. Also, he loves this papparazzi pic of Rihanna, although in general, he does not care for picture people.

Kanye didn’t seem to mind that Madge was grabbing Amber Rose’s money maker.

Well, here’s AI contestant Kris Allen with perhaps the boldest move in the history of the competition. Last night, Allen blessed America with a solid rendition of “Heartless,” sans the robot voice. This version makes Kanye’s version sound like practice session.
